This is a blog of news and essays aimed toward gay Mormons who wish to hold the Priesthood of God honorably (Men) or to remain active members of the LDS Church (Men or Women), their family and friends, or anyone who has questions about what it is to be a faithful Mormon, or a Mormon questioning... and gay.

Mormon Position on Gay
Here is a link to a new website the Church of Jesus Christ of Later-day Saints has created to ... explain? Support? You decide. I am welcoming it with open arms and a disco dance of joy. http://www.mormonsandgays.org/
When the Church removes annotation asterisks from next to gay peoples' names on their records simply because they have acted on their gayness, then maybe I will have more good-will feelings toward the new web site. For now, I am inclined to adopt "Against the Wall"'s term "slick websites" for the new site.
@Duck, So really, do they annotate membership records? That could explain some of the callings I have had, (and haven't had) since coming home from my mission a generation ago.
@ Andy: Yes, Andy, they do, if one has "acted repeatedly" on homosexual behavior. With the asterisk, one is never allowed to work with anyone under the age of 18, will never hold callings working with the youth, among other things, etc.. I wish I had an exact reference for you, to look this up. I will see if I can find one, then comment again here, OK?
@Andy: here is a link to the Handbook. You can read it online- I believe the information you are interested in is in chapter 6: http://www.scribd.com/doc/50503206/LDS-Church-Handbook-of-Instructions-Vol-1-2010
